Hackathon

Designed in one week with a team of five during a hackathon. JABU is a service designed to reduce food waste in collective catering environments. Our team reimagined the brand through a holistic approach - from product experience and UX/UI to business model refinement and communication strategy. I led the UX/UI direction and project coordination, bridging product logic, interface design, and business considerations. Our concept for JABU’s product and communication strategy won the challenge.

./ Research & Ideation

We began with co-creation workshops, including ideation sessions, card sorting, and “Back to the Future” mapping.
These methods helped align team and client perspectives, highlight user pain points, and outline clear functional priorities.

./ User Journey & Blueprint

We mapped the entire ecosystem - from menu design to satisfaction tracking.
This clarified how each actor (manager, kitchen staff, diner) interacts with JABU, optimizing processes and communication loops.

./ Business Model

We redefined JABU’s model around three subscription tiers combining commissions, automation, and optional connected fridges.
The structure made the offer flexible and scalable across institutions.

./ Art Direction

The visual identity was rethought to feel human, bright, and sustainable - warm illustrations, confident typography, and a vibrant palette convey optimism and accessibility.

./ Dashboard

The desktop dashboard gives managers an at-a-glance overview of diner counts, satisfaction, and unsold meals.
It focuses on data clarity and forecasting efficiency.

./ Inventory & Waste Monitoring

The “Unsold” view allows teams to track collected and uncollected baskets, filter by category, and identify recurring issues - making waste management measurable.

./ Mobile App

Diners can view and order available baskets directly from their canteen, tracking availability in real time.
The goal was to make ordering as frictionless and intuitive as any e-commerce flow.

./ Goals & Impact

Gamification brings awareness to sustainability - users see how much food, money, and CO₂ they’ve saved, unlocking achievements for every goal reached.

./ Marketing & Communication

Communication was structured by user type - manager, staff, or diner - using targeted campaigns and loyalty initiatives.
Slogan: “Bon pour vous, bon pour la planète.” / “Good for you, good for the planet.”

./ Packaging & Visual Ecosystem

Physical and digital touchpoints share one visual language - bright, illustrated, and friendly.
The packaging reinforces the same mission: eat better, waste less.

./ Outcome

In just one week, our team built a functional dashboard prototype for business owners and a mobile app prototype for diners, both focusing on real-world usability and data flow.
We also developed a complete visual identity system, including communication assets and packaging concepts, ensuring brand coherence across every touchpoint.

Beyond design, we restructured the user experience and proposed new scalable business models aligned with JABU’s client base and long-term growth strategy, earning first place in the competition and recognition from JABU’s leadership team.
